Our Mission

To cultivate neighborhood connections and environmental awareness by establishing a community garden with opportunities for participation and learning as well as social and cultural engagement.

The Village Garden is open to all residents of the community to enjoy during defined hours from April to November.

There are no individually run garden plots. The entire garden is worked as “the commons,” and is a collaborative effort of resident volunteers of all ages & abilities.

Based on garden yield, a certain amount of harvested crops will be used for free garden classes and events, donated to those in need, or sold at periodic market days to support the ongoing operations of the garden.

Special events like classes, crafts, story time, readings, music, or tastings in the garden are open to all residents. Registration sign-ups for popular events will be required.
