The Village of Atlantic Beach Board of Trustees & Office of Emergency Management is sending this advisory to inform all residents of the expected weather conditions for the upcoming weekend, Saturday, December 13th, and Sunday, December 14th.

The current forecast indicates a shift to colder weather with the potential for snow accumulation.

☃️ Weekend Weather Outlook

  • Saturday (Daytime): Cloudy with a high temperature around 41°F.
  • Saturday (Night): Light snow is forecast with a low around 31°F.
  • Sunday (Daytime): Snow is likely with a high temperature around 33°F. Winds are expected to be strong, possibly reaching 21 mph from the northwest.
  • Sunday (Night): Conditions are expected to clear, with a chilly low around 22°F.

We urge all residents to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your family and property:

  • Vehicle Safety: If a significant amount of snow falls, please avoid parking on Village streets where possible to allow snow plows and emergency vehicles clear access. Drive cautiously, especially during periods of snow and freezing temperatures.
  • Sidewalks: Property owners are reminded of their responsibility to clear sidewalks in front of their homes as soon as possible after the snow stops, to ensure safe pedestrian passage.
  • Outdoor Items: Secure all loose outdoor items (patio furniture, trash cans, decorations, etc.) that could be blown around by strong winds.
